4 Days Mara River Crossing Migration Safari
Position Yourself at the Most Dramatic River Crossings on Earth
Safari Overview
Each year, over 1.5 million wildebeest, accompanied by 200,000 zebras and hundreds of thousands of gazelles, journey north toward the lush plains of the Maasai Mara. Standing in their path is the formidable Mara River: home to some of Africa's largest Nile crocodiles, measuring over 5 metres in length. The river crossings are nature at its most intense: vast herds gathering along the banks, tension building, and then: suddenly: the plunge. Thousands of wildebeest surge into the water as crocodiles strike and predators such as lions and hyenas wait on the opposite side for exhausted survivors. This safari is led by experienced migration specialists who understand crossing patterns and position you at the best vantage points. Extended hours at key crossing locations mean patience is rewarded with extraordinary wildlife encounters. The thunder of hooves, the splashing water, and the raw energy of the herds create a truly unforgettable experience. Your camp is strategically located just minutes from the Mara River for rapid access when crossing activity begins.Safari Highlights
